Description
Phillip was born in 1950 and raised in Melbourne, Victoria. After graduating in business studies (Accounting) he worked at two Aboriginal communities in the Kimberley, WA. His interest in community development led him to India in 1977 to work with a local non-government organisation in village planning and training programs.
On coming back to Australia in 1984, Phillip returned to his original profession and set up an accounting and taxation practice in Katherine, NT. In 1992 Phillip returned to Melbourne to undertake postgraduate studies in environmental science at Monash University. After graduating in 1996 he moved to Cairns, Qld, to take up a position within the Queensland public service.
Upon reaching his sixtieth birthday, Phillip retired and began a new adventure as a writer. Phillip became a member of Tropical Writers, Cairns, in 2016 and enjoys drawing on his own life experiences as the inspiration for his writing.
